Graduation Information

Ceremony Details

Ceremony details for February (mid-year) and May (spring) graduations will be published on our
school calendar as the district finalizes them. Please check the calendar regularly for updated
information regarding dates, times, and locations.

Senior Photos

The yearbook will facilitate Tux & Drape photos for the yearbook; however, we do not have a
studio that does other senior photos. If you would like them, we encourage you to find a provider
YOU are comfortable with.

Cap & Gown Information

All graduates must wear the official Merancas Middle College High School cap and gown.

  • Ordering: Visit Herff Jones by November 14th to ensure arrival for the May graduation.
    • Scroll to the bottom of the page and select “Cap, Gown & Tassel Unit”
    • The cost of the set is $62.00
  • Pickup: Cap and gown packages will be distributed on campus. As they arrive, a message will be sent to the student and parent/guardian through ParentSquare.
  • Dress Code: Business casual attire is recommended under your gown. When dates and locations are finalized, seniors will receive more details.

Graduation Rehearsal

Attendance at rehearsal is mandatory for all graduating seniors.

All seniors must attend rehearsal in order to walk across the stage at graduation. Students will
review the ceremony order, seating arrangements, and procession details.

Senior Checklist

Before graduation, please ensure the following are complete:

  • All high school and college coursework finalized
  • CPCC textbooks and materials returned
  • Return CMS technology
  • Fees and obligations cleared for both CMS and CPCC
  • Final transcripts requested (sent to your college or employer)
  • Senior survey completed

Tickets & Guests

Families will not need tickets for the ceremony, and parking is free. However, traffic can be a
concern, so arrive with plenty of time to park and enter Ovens Auditorium. Families can enter
the venue one hour before the ceremony.

Photography

Professional photos will be taken during the ceremony. Families may take pictures before and
after the event. Please remain seated during the ceremony to ensure visibility for all guests.
