Activities

Merancas clubs play a pivotal role in creating and building our school culture. Our students do more than just participate in a club; they lead chapters, organize and plan school-wide events, and connect our school to the larger community through meaningful service and engagement.

All events hosted by our clubs include a community service component. Students have participated in a wide range of projects, including writing letters to elementary school students, collecting blankets and canned goods, creating hygiene kits for donation, organizing holiday drives, and volunteering at local events. Through these efforts, we’ve proudly partnered with organizations such as the YMCA, Roof Above, Angels and Sparrows, Levine Children’s Hospital, the Huntersville Recreation Center Holiday Drive, and the CMPD Humane Society. These partnerships allow our students to make a real impact beyond our campus and demonstrate the power of collective action and service.

Our clubs are dedicated to the belief that we impact our community through action.

At the start of each school year, Merancas Middle College High School club members host a Club Expo to highlight each club on campus, share membership requirements, and present their plans for the year. This exciting event allows new students the opportunity to connect, explore interests, and join the organizations that inspire them. We aim for every student to be involved in at least one club on campus!

In addition to club activities, our school hosts Pack Connect each month—an opportunity for students to build relationships, collaborate across grade levels, and strengthen our school community. Each session features interactive activities, team challenges, and discussions on leadership, character, and connection. Pack Connect gives students time to reflect, recharge, and celebrate what makes our Merancas family unique.
